Vince Cole
Tresurer
Vince Cole, President, is Director of Affordable Housing at University Church in Hyde Park on Chicago’s Southside. As part of that position he was also designated as Executive Director of the Woodlawn Developments Associates, a nonprofit organization focused on preserving affordable housing in the Woodlawn neighborhood, future home of the Obama Presidential Center. While managing the Church building and its related apartment buildings is his primary job function by day, Vince also enjoys volunteer work as a member of the Woodlawn Chamber of Commerce in an Ambassador role. All of these connections and experiences have led Vince to become the Vice-President of the Woodlawn Restorative Justice Hub (WRJH). Driven by his love of helping others and his concern for the young people on Chicago’s Southside, he takes pride in his efforts to provide guidance to the Board of Directors of this vital non-profit organization. As a member of the WRJH Board, his goals include growing the capacity of the organization in order to make a positive impact on as many young people in Woodlawn and its surrounding urban neighborhoods as possible. He is passionate, not just about violence prevention, but nurturing the local youth to be the best they can be.
